Named for: Dr. L. L. Campbell, former Teacher, Humanitarian and Pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church of East Austin.
Known as: “The Smallest Gym in Texas”
Court Dimensions: Two regulation height baskets anchor a “full court” that is approximately 60 feet long and 30 feet wide and a ceiling height of 16”1.
Notable: The gym features a tile floor and is on the second level of the school. Windows are prominent on 3 walls of the gym and provide a stunning view of downtown Austin.
Currently: The school building is used by Austin ISD and is known as Garza Independent High School and provides a barrier-free opportunity for students to earn a high school diploma.
